Acceptable use
Meris runs on other people's hardware. These rules protect them, the AI labs that rely on the network, and the network itself. The full terms are at meris.network/legal.
Labs must not use the API to
- Train on or produce content that sexualises minors, or that is illegal where you or Meris operate.
- Mine cryptocurrency, or run anything other than the AI workload the job describes.
- Develop malware, attack or scan systems you are not authorised to test, or try to break out of a job onto the contributor's machine.
- Process personal data about others without a lawful basis. Remember that jobs run on contributor machines.
- Violate the licence of a model or dataset you use.
- Resell raw access to the API as a competing service without an agreement with Meris.
Contributors must not
- Modify the worker to misreport hardware, utilisation or results.
- Inspect, copy or tamper with lab jobs that run on their machine.
- Run several workers with one pairing, or pair hardware they do not own or are not allowed to use, such as an employer's machines.
Enforcement
Meris can revoke API keys, remove workers and withhold unpaid earnings from accounts that break these rules. Earnings from legitimate work done before a violation are paid out unless they were obtained through the violation itself.
Report abuse to legal@meris.network.
