Quickstart

Connect your GPU to Meris in about a minute. You copy one command from the app and paste it on the computer that has the GPU. You do not need to install anything first, and you do not need administrator rights.

1. Open the Worker page

Sign in at app.meris.network and open Worker. Pick the system of the computer with the GPU: Windows, macOS or Linux. The page usually picks it for you.

2. Open a terminal on that computer

A terminal is a window where you paste a command. Every computer has one built in.

Press the Windows key, type PowerShell, press Enter.

Press ⌘ + Space, type Terminal, press Return.
text
Press Ctrl + Alt + T, or open Terminal from your apps.

A window with a blinking cursor opens.

3. Paste the command

On the Worker page, click Copy command. Then click inside the terminal window and paste it:

SystemPaste withThen press
WindowsCtrl + V, or right-clickEnter
macOS⌘ + VReturn
LinuxCtrl + Shift + VEnter

The command looks like this, with your own code in it:

powershell
$env:MERIS_CODE = 'K7QD-3MXA'; irm https://app.meris.network/install.ps1 | iex
sh
curl -fsSL https://app.meris.network/install.sh | sh -s -- K7QD-3MXA

The code links this computer to your account. It works once and expires after 15 minutes; the Worker page makes a new one by itself, so always copy the command from there.

4. Wait for "Online", then close the window

The first time takes about a minute. The window shows something like:

text
Setting up the Meris worker. This takes about a minute, keep this window open.
Meris worker 0.2.0 installed.
Paired as "desktop".
Online as "desktop", lending 6.0 GB.
It runs in the background and starts again when you log in. You can close this window.
Manage it at https://app.meris.network/worker

That's it. Your GPU appears on the Worker page within seconds, with live GPU use, VRAM and temperature, and starts earning. You can close the terminal: the worker keeps running in the background, starts again with the computer and keeps itself up to date.

What the command does

  1. Creates a .meris folder in your user folder and puts everything there.
  2. Downloads a private copy of Node.js, checked against its official checksum, unless a recent one is already installed. It is used only by the worker.
  3. Downloads the worker, a single file you can read: meris-worker.mjs.
  4. Pairs this computer with your code and starts the worker in the background.

Prefer to read the installer first? Open install.ps1 or install.sh in your browser; they are short.

Running the command again is safe: it updates the worker and keeps the same GPU in your account.

Stop or remove it

On the Worker page, press Remove next to the GPU. The worker stops on that computer and no longer starts with it. Earnings already made stay in your balance.

To also delete its files, see Uninstall.
