How much will I earn?
It depends on your card, how much of it you lend and how long it stays online. You earn 70% of the market rate labs pay for your GPU, for every minute it is online and serving. The rate fluctuates and is updated in real time. The app shows exactly what each of your GPUs has earned.
Will it slow down my computer?
The network only uses the share of VRAM you allocate, and with Step aside when I use my GPU turned on (the default) it stops using your card within about five seconds when it gets busy with something else. See Allocation and stepping aside.
Does it run when I am gaming?
Not if stepping aside is on and your GPU is NVIDIA. The worker reads GPU use through nvidia-smi; above 40% with no Meris work on the card it steps aside, and it comes back below 15%. On Apple Silicon and AMD the worker cannot read GPU use yet, so pause it from the app or stop it when you need the full card.
What about power and wear?
Lending draws power when the card is in use, like any GPU workload. Your electricity cost depends on your card and your tariff, and it is yours to weigh against what you earn.
Which GPUs work?
NVIDIA cards with 4 GB of VRAM or more, Apple Silicon Macs, and AMD Radeon cards. Details on Hardware.
Can I run it on several machines?
Yes. Pair each machine with its own code. Each one appears separately in the app with its own controls.
Is there a token?
No. Earnings are in US dollars and paid in dollar stablecoins: USDC on Base or USDG on Robinhood Chain. See Payouts.
AI labs
What can I run?
A container image with your training, fine-tuning or batch code, on 1 to 8 GPUs with the memory you ask for, for up to 72 hours. See Jobs.
Can I trust a stranger's GPU with my code and data?
Your job runs on a contributor's machine, which means that person could in principle inspect it. Do not put secrets, credentials or personal data in a job that you would not show a third party. See Security and privacy.
What happens when no GPU is free?
POST /v1/jobs returns 503 with the code no_capacity and nothing is charged. Retry with backoff.
How do I get credit?
